Social Flycatcher

Primary Birds!!

Blue Jay

Scarlet Tanager

I did these three birds yesterday. When I was finished all three I put them in a line and realized they looked great together. I didn't consciously do a Red, Blue and then Yellow Bird either, I picked them randomly one after the other. It was a "Happy accident!! " as Bob Ross would say.

Drunk Cuppy

This is such a sad little cupcake, I feel so sorry from him! he is all alone in a desolate, barren land. His only comfort has been consumed, and now he sits in despair. Its too sad to look at.

8"x8" square

too much to drink

This painting is another version of the one above, I just wanted the cupcake to be larger. He seems a bit less miserable than the one above too.
It is also 8" square.

Katie of "Katie's Place"

Katie's Place is a volunteer run small animal (mostly cats) shelter in Maple
Ridge B.C. and Katie is the namesake. Currently the shelter
is in a very full barn, soon they will move all the residents to a new facility. . . Katie was the first resident of Katie's Place, she has since passed away. I did this portrait of her for the new shelter, so she will never be forgotten!

The shelter runs on donations, if you would like to donate or adopt a kitty follow this link to their website>>>>

Happy Birthday Mum!!

Well here is your English Robin Mum!! Happy birthday!
I have to get prints made of him before you can actually have him though! The three little birds I have posted today will all be on sale on my etsy shop ( see top right ) as soon as I get prints made of them, hopefully in the next two weeks. I will make an announcement when they arrive. This painting is almost 6x6 inches square.

Whinchat

Isn't this little fellow proud perched on his reed surveying his land!! also 6x6 inches square

Fairy wren

He's a tough little guy, making his name kind of ironic!! he is perched on barbed wire.

Chakra!

I did these three paintings to put up at Ananda Yoga Studio. There are Seven chakra all together. I got this description of what chakra are from, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chakra

Chakra are commonly described, as energy centers in the body located at major branchings of the human nervous system, beginning at the base of the spinal column and moving upward to the top of the skull. Chakras are considered to be a point or nexus of metaphysical and/or biophysical energy of the human body.

These three are 2X2 feet square. I like how they turned out, and painting them was very soothing (the colors where fun to blend). I am planning on doing the other four chakra. I will probably keep on doing different versions of these three as well in different sizes. I hope you like them!!

sahasara **(crown chakra)**

universal identity
thought
self-knowledge

vishudda **( throat chakra)**

creativity
self-expression

manipura ** ( solar plexus chakra ) **

energy
non-dominating power
Self-definition

1962 VW Bug

Isn't this little bug so cute! I did him in acrylic on wood. I think that along with pet portraits I will be adding classic car portraits. Who knew that I would be good at painting cars!?
